Coincidences: Life’s way of giving you high fives

I’m one of those people who see coincidences as more than just a series of random events. To me, they’re a sign that Life is awesome, has got my back and is taking care of me. I will admit that the scientist in me wants to scream “Nonsense! You cannot prove this theory!” In the meantime, my flower child retorts “How else can you explain this magical series of events that are so well timed?” It’s a constant battle between those two. #thestruggleisreal

The most recent coincidence that left me a bit dumfounded happened two weeks ago. I had posted on Instagram a picture of my favorite face oils and tagged the skincare lines so that people can know where to get them. By doing so, I had unknowingly entered a contest Skin Essence Organics was holding to give away free tickets to the Green Living Show in Toronto happening April 15 to 17. This show exhibits different companies who are eco-friendly and health conscious. It’s similar to the Expo Manger Santé et Vivre Vert in Montréal, but on gluten-free steroids. Imagine my surprise when I got a message telling me I won a contest I didn’t even know I entered!

Now, you might be like “But you live in Montreal. The show is in Toronto. Where’s the coincidence in that?” To prove to you that the Universe is great, it so happened that I had already planned a few weeks prior to be in Toronto that weekend for work and to visit some family!

1) I unknowingly entered a contest by showing some Love
2) I ended up winning the contest (that happened to be related to something I’m passionate about!)
3) I was going to be at the right place at the right time

Isn’t that cosmic? I think I was starstruck at Life for a full 15 minutes.

Now, this series of events may not seem like much to you, but thinking about it still makes me smile. Below are some pictures from the event. I got to connect with so many interesting people! As I went to the Green Living show with a child, I unfortunately didn’t have much time to spend there (you can only trick a 6 year old  into thinking vegan lipstick is interesting for so long). Therefore I focused mainly on the kiosks offering beauty or cleaning goods, as those are the two main categories of products I’m trying to “clean” out. If you live in the Toronto area, make sure you check out this show next year!

I feel the same, I don’t really believe in coincidences anymore. Life is full of signs for those who choose to look twice !

I’m not a professionnal life sign reader but life sure is turning you into some sort of naturopath ;).
