I started working out again and OMG I AM HUNGRY ALL.THE.FREAKING.TIME. And if I don’t have a snack at hand, girl goes #hangry. In order to avoid this situation and socially unacceptable behavior on my end, I make a weekly batch of these crunchy all natural protein granola bars. They can be sugar-free, although I enjoy throwing in some high quality dark chocolate chips to make my granola bars a bit of a healthy indulgence. Check out the recipe down below. And if you liked this post, check out the other recipes I have on my blog!
All natural protein granola bars
Packed with nuts and seeds, these all natural granola bars will keep you satisfied until your next meal!
Preheat the oven at 300 F.
Line a 8x8 inch baking pan with parchment paper.
Mix all ingredients together in a mixing bowl.
Pout mixture in the baking pan and smooth out with a spoon. Drizzle on some honey if you want to add some sweetness.
Bake for 20 to 25 minutes at 300 F.
Let cool for 10 minutes on a cooling rack.
I used to make this recipe with 1/4 cup of coconut oil to make the bars more crispy, but I find the blackstrap molasses does the same job. On top of that, blackstrap molasses adds calcium and iron!
